About the Event

ASAWA is conducting a Back to School event on August 10th, in the Almaden Library Program Room. The Department of Transportation has been invited to educate our middle and high-schoolers on safe biking and driving practices.

Cordell Bailey is the Traffic Safety Education Officer with the City of San Jose's Department of Transportation. He has over ten years of experience educating both children, teens, adults on safe driving, safe pedestrian skills, and safe bicycling in San Jose. The City of San Jose's Vision Zero Safety Initiative designed to reduce fatalities and serious injuries on our roadway takes all of us to succeed. Please come with any questions or concerns you have about roadway safety.

We need a minimum of 35 students for this event. Use this opportunity to meet and welcome new families to our community!
